I would be careful saying something like "trend of pursuing a higher moral ground will be seen in all countries", because although we know what you mean, it's probably better to say "ethical" or even "with integrity" than moral because "moral" carries a negative energy. Making moral decisions is a signpost of fundamentalists, and connotation is being based on old-world ideas of what's right and wrong and religious ideas. Ethical, though not much different in definition, has a connotation of being based on making decisions based on integrity and care for what's good for people.
