Also, and I don't mean to create fear, throughout time gurus and mentors have often gotten into a role where they actually stole energy from their pupils or disciples, usually unintentionally. That's something you always need to be cognizant of. A good teacher will want their "pupil" to surpass them in every way and have more success than even they did.
