Thank you for this information. it is very useful. I do a little part time job at a wnderful light filled castle in Edinburgh and have done for 3 years. its not many hours but it is hard work. I had a pay rise last year but was still in the sub-serviant frame of mind and did'nt ask for a larger increment. This year as if being tested to stand up for my own value and fight for me self-worth I have today 8th August........out of know where asked for a substancial increment in line with those doing the same job as me in the city.
I felt strongly compelled to ask for what is deserving earned and I believe it had to be done today. I have no doubt I will get the rise I have requested.
