Sirius Vortex Opening
We are in a period of time when there is an opening in the cosmos when we receive a powerful increase of energies from Sirius. These are the "Dog Days of Summer" when Sirius (the Dog Star) is conjunct with our Sun. The stars are aligned and we get the benefit! This is like a supportive "wind at our back" to help us manifest what we desire.
Sirius is the star of Isis, called Sothis in ancient Egypt. It is the brightest star in the night sky. The Sirius system (actually three stars) is directly "upstream" of our solar system within the galactic arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. By coming directly towards us, Sirius creates an axis of rotation with Earth relative to the stellar background. Because of this, the annual heliacal rising (when a star first becomes visible above the eastern horizon at dawn, after a period when it was hidden below the horizon at night or when it was hidden by the brightness of the Sun). of Sirius exactly matches the length of our solar year, 365.25 days.
In ancient Egypt the heliacal rising of Sirius (Sothis) signaled the New Year and the beginning of the Nile flood season (fertility and abundance).
