You Are Entitled to Hear Your Angels

Increasingly, people reject the long-standing view that citizens of heaven and earth are essentially incommunicado. I have met hundreds of people who are on fire for a transcendent encounter with their guardian angels - a sensory encounter. I say "sensory" because people seem to want to see, hear or feel the presence of their own angels - to have a remarkable, discernable experience. And why not? These spiritual beings are right alongside you, serving you every day. You deserve as much conscious interaction with them as you can get.

To feel heavenly helpers in the room with you is one thing, but why so much fuss over tuning into angel broadcasts? Do angels really have that much to say? Experience has taught me that guardian angels communicate with their human charges every day, all day long. Your messages are usually meant exclusively for you. If you received fifty emails from friends each day, wouldn't you prefer to read some of them instead of merely speculating about their content?

The capacity to hear messages from Spirit at will resides within the average person. For most, it is a dormant faculty, waiting to be awakened by education and practice. Could you handle angels on call 24-7? This concept might require a quantum stretch in thinking. For example, perhaps you've entertained the notion that you have a bit of psychic ability, but to presume to contact your own guardian angels any time you wish - that may seem way beyond the bounds of reason. Outrageous! With the proper approach, however, it is quite attainable.

If you seek to align with your soul's wishes for you, spiritual listening can provide you with practical everyday guidance. If a dream wakes me in the wee hours of the morning, I can immediately probe the meaning of that dream with the counsel of my angels. Having conversations with your guardian angels can become as integral a part of your life as sending and receiving text messages. Further, many novices function more easily within spiritual environments than within technological domains. There is nothing to download, no extra memory or upgrades required. You were born with a self-contained, pre-installed program. Spiritual listening is innately human - consider it a spiritual birthright.

Keep in mind that hearing your angels may not be as easy for you as the click of a mouse. Some people have more of a natural proclivity to receive angelic communications by way of pictures or feelings than by way of verbal messages. There are also environmental factors that influence how people receive communications from the spirit realms. For example, routine life stresses can make it difficult for an individual to discern messages. Emotional trauma and self-critical mental chatter sometimes impede reception.

For some, there are latent issues that stand in the way of spiritual listening, such as, "I don't deserve the privilege of a conversation with my angels," or "I'm too common to speak directly to God's messengers. Only saints and other special gifted people do that." With enough motivation, however, you can let go of these limiting mindsets. Sometimes, repressed feelings block our spiritual perceptions. Some people need to clear away one or more forms of interference before they can make a conscious connection with their angels. Patience, commitment and diligent practice should produce results.

For others, spiritual listening can be relatively easy. It is heartwarming to witness so many eager students receive messages from their spiritual guardians after only a few basic preparations.

Whether you hear them or not, you already have a relationship with your angels. Perhaps it's time for you to become a more conscious, active participant in that relationship. You are entitled to interact with them as often as you like.

Believe that you have it in you to become your own best spiritual advisor.
