As this Shift of Consciousness unfolds, there are many, many events that are being stripped from your consciousness and your memories. The first Wave* clears away beliefs in your past that have been projected into your future.
What if many of us have a deeply held belief that in order to experience peace or enlightenment we need to have a crash first – that we need to ‘break’ before we can have a breakthrough?
As we continue to weave our way through the ebb and flow of life, we so often forget to find moments of pause where we reconnect to the ‘bigger picture’ of our lives. It is so easy to become caught up in the throes of life and find ourselves running on the hamster wheel without even realising it.
With spiritual faith, your heart and mind open up and guide you in your search for personal truth. Faith in the spirituality of life is what makes your spiritual path possible. Faith may sound like a form of belief, but belief is actually a fixation upon a version of the truth. When a belief becomes rigid, seeking and growth are not possible.
Nearly everyone has experienced a placebo effect! The fact that you take a medicine tells me that on some level you must believe in it or expect it to work, or you believe in the doctor who prescribed it, or even in the improvement you’ve heard about in other people.
A couple of weeks ago I had a conversation with my friend Melanie, who had given birth to a baby girl a few months earlier and was now nervous about going back to work. Like so many new moms, she couldn't imagine leaving her baby with someone else. Melanie is a communications executive with a company in the Midwest. She's been with them for more than seven years and has enjoyed a fruitful career.
2012 is a transformational year. No, duh! That means letting go of old stuff and opening to new experiences. The eclipses in May and other astrological energies have been supporting the process of transforming anything in the realm of Gemini, which is all about thinking, communicating and beliefs.
Years ago, during a very difficult time in my life, I went to a place I always go to for comfort and clarity: I took a walk on the beach. It was a cool, rainy day, and the clouds above hung so low I felt I could reach out and touch them. As I slogged through the sand, I thought about my life and the challenges I faced. With each step I felt the weight of anxiety that traveled with me. Then, I noticed something shiny sticking out of the sand.
Intellectual awareness is a function of the solar plexus chakra, where mental ability is developed in a linear direction. Examples of linear thought include the performing of arithmetic and the operating of machinery. In this mode of consciousness, people have learned to develop a rigid discipline of “seeing is believing” in order to find what works and what doesn’t.
We have released so much of the old, and that is monumental. While the releasing of limiting energies continues, we must also put more of our attention on our expanding consciousness, for it is our consciousness (awareness/knowing that we are Divine) that manifests our life forms. While our journey certainly has been intense, we are able to breathe a little freer this week and take a look around us to see what we are creating.
There is an issue we have not discussed instrumental to your shift into the New Age/new earth. What beliefs do you maintain about yourself that are not loving? Of course, your immediate reaction is that you love yourself. We beg to differ. Many of you hold on to beliefs counterproductive to who you wish to be. These beliefs might be part of your current life or from other lives – it does not matter.

Care taking others is so deeply embedded in your belief system that you continue to have difficulties understanding your true role in this New Age/new earth transition. You have been taught for eons to give is proper, but to receive is selfish or somehow wrong. Granted, you allow yourself to receive token birthday and holiday gifts, but you continue to feel it is your duty to protect others while denying yourself.
I recently read about an amazing story of the power of the placebo effect. It was recorded in 1957 and demonstrates just how powerful the human mind can be. A patient had advanced cancer of the lymph nodes (lymphoma) and was told that he had no more than a few weeks to live. He couldn’t get radiotherapy or chemotherapy because he was anaemic but he had heard of a new experimental anti-cancer drug called Krebiozen and begged his doctor to give him some. So the doctor gave him an injection of it.
