Messages about planetary cycles

The highlights of this full Moon include a tight t-square from Jupiter, Chiron conjuncting the Sun and opposing the Moon, Mars conjuncting Mercury and Venus conjuncting Neptune. All in all, a rather interesting, instructive, psychic and healing full Moon.

This is a powerful energy. With that comes the necessity of discernment - it provokes you to get lots of things accomplished and that's a good thing, however, beware of taking on more than you can actually handle.

The asteroid and the several meteorites we have been experiencing, coupled with other cosmic events, blasted us out of our complacency of old lives and comfort zones. This precipitated an uncomfortable angst of remaining in certain beliefs, patterns and life circumstances so that perhaps we would make the choice to follow our Soul’s Plan and Bliss.

This energy is known for producing two distinct effects, so watch for one or both to surface. This transit tends to make you very sensitive (rational or not) to other people. If you are one of those people who tends to put everyone else's needs before your own, watch out, because this makes that urge even stronger.

The better way to express this energy is to think of what you are DOING today as the benefit to you in the future. You have access to foresight, so use it to foresee what your ultimate goal is and what steps you can take today to make that happen. Focus on what can be, rather than what is right now.

Well here we have another auspicious New Moon. In the midst of the strong, mystical Pisces energy this month (Mars, Neptune, Chiron and Neptune) and on the same weekend as the Chinese New Year (Year of the Water Snake,) we’ve got plenty to celebrate.

The Aquarian new moon falls on February 10 and it is another very challenging one, but as with all lunations, full of promise and possibility. This Aquarian new Moon has not only an Aquarian emphasis, with Moon, Sun and Venus in Aquarius, but also a strong Piscean influence, with Neptune, Mars, Mercury and Chiron in Pisces - all within a few degrees of each other. This can bring confusion all the way to enlightenment.

This month will see a stellium in Pisces, with Neptune, Chiron, Mars, the Moon (briefly), Sun and Mercury all in Pisces by the 19th (and Mercury retrogrades in Pisces this month). Pisces is the sign of spiritual understanding, enlightenment, imprisonment, self-undoing (or self sabotage), confusion and the unknown, depending on how its energies are used. There is a highly spiritual focus that either challenges our humanity or empowers us to fully align with our divinity.

This energy is great for tapping in to your intuition and acting on its promptings. If you're focused on your dreams at the moment, this will give you a boost of creative energy. It is time to expand your vision and play a little. This is not necessarily a time to push your body, but your imagination! How well do you do with your action, fearlessness, passion, and desire nature? If you resist these aspects of your nature, this energy will be tough to navigate.

With this energy, it is best to understand that you will have two distinct pulls within - duty versus self-gratification. It's not nearly as bad as it feels, however, it does bring up something we all struggle with to some degree or another - SELF & OTHERS. How much do you owe your Self and how much are you obligated to others?

This energy says, it's time to go with the flow - "new and different" being the flow. It wants to shake it up a bit - in a good way. However, if you feel like new and different is more like chaos and disruption, then you need to reflect and see if you aren't being too rigid. Unwillingness to go with the (new) flow will make this energy harder to handle.

This energy intensifies relationships, for better or worse. Because your values and priorities are shifting, relationships must also undergo a similar adjustment. Beware of value differences that can cause power struggles which are unproductive. Try to create circumstances that are win/win, and mutually beneficial, this will allow the relationship to EVOLVE, rather than revolve back into the cycle.

January's Capricorn new Moon falls on January 11 in the United States and January 12 in Australia. This new Moon is one of knowing when to fight and when to let go - when to stay in the game and when to change course - to decide what battles are worth fighting and what one's are not worth the time and energy one expends.

Did you notice some pretty crazy intense stuff this week? On January 6th the Moon joined Saturn, and Mercury joined Pluto. All four pointed at Jupiter (still retrograde). That is big build up of pressure (that I have certainly felt).

This is the energy of action being restricted and the anger that follows. You can either be angry and feel restricted and limited and unable to move ... or you can see this energy as an opportunity to define the right actions to take and strategically plan to take them when the Universe is more supportive.
