January's Capricorn new Moon falls on January 11 in the United States and January 12 in Australia. This new Moon is one of knowing when to fight and when to let go - when to stay in the game and when to change course - to decide what battles are worth fighting and what one's are not worth the time and energy one expends.

This energy is good for deep thinking. You are sharp and your standards are high because you are in 'strategy mode'. This is a more solitary energy though, so communications with others may be hampered a bit. You may feel like people don't understand what you're trying to convey or that you're coming across more negatively than you intended. This is not a good energy for business negotiations.

The Solstice is always a time to celebrate life and to feel blessed for all we have. It is also a time to honour ourselves and one another. The light within each of us glows strongly at the Solstice. It is a time to honour the gift of life and also to offer the Earth healing as well.
This is a good energy for getting to the bottom of any problem, especially between you and another person. This may involve a battle of wills with another person. Just try to remember when you force your will, rather than honor God’s will in your life, you create challenges for yourself. Someone may try very hard today to convince you of some truth that you would rather not accept, or you may do this to someone else.
