Notes to Myself

The solar plexus or third chakra is just above the navel. Its color is golden yellow; the sound is "Ah". The body parts associated are the adrenal glands, liver, gall bladder, small intestines and pancreas. The essence is Cinnamon. The gemstones are Citrine, Topaz and Yellow Calcite. The affirmations is, "I Can".

I went to Knoxville, Tennessee last weekend to teach an angel workshop with my dearest friend and partner, Jill. On the return flight I arrived at the airport and went to check in. I had one little carry on that I put in the overhead on the flight there with no problem. They asked me to put it in the box to see if it was small enough.

Notes to Myself

Since I'm a teacher, I'm off for the summer. I know I am very fortunate to have this luxury. My son went to his father's house for a month, so I have the house to myself (other than my pack of wayward dogs). I chose to spend some quality time alone. I really needed time to just be.

Notes to Myself

I have always struggled with my self confidence. For whatever reason I never really felt worthy or good enough. I would see what other people achieved and thought I am not capable of having or doing that. I didn't believe in myself. My mother would tell me, "you shouldn't compare your insides to other people's outsides." Because other people appeared to have it more together than I did I thought they were somehow better than me.

Notes to Myself

For many years I was unable to express an emotion other than fear, anxiety, frustration and anger. I was in survival mode and my main purpose was to make sure that I could provide for my son. My focus was on being a good mother, teacher, healer, friend, and family member, making sure everyone's needs were met.
