Self-Love - what does that mean to you? Is that something that creates a good feeling? Does it perhaps create a sense of shyness or embarrassment? For some it may just make you feel uncomfortable. You come into this life with the complete and utter knowing that you are complete. You are divine. It is a given. It has been the lessons you've learned and beliefs you've accepted since that time that has pushed you outside of this belief. On your quest to re-align within yourself you must open to acceptance of who you are.
We talked in this space last week about one of the most important things in life: being friends. So yes, be friends with your spouse. Be friends with your children. Be friends with your relatives. Be friends with your neighbors and your fellow workers and your acquaintances. And yes, even be friends with your enemies. And most of all...be friends with yourself! Let's see how...
I've just arrived home from Omega where I taught a Mother's Day weekend retreat about developing the qualities and habits of an extraordinary mother. We had a terrific group of women and this week I'd like to share ten pieces of wisdom from our time together. Here we go...
My dear friends, we love you so very much. Self loves, dear ones, is not selfish. True self love comes from a heart that is grateful to God for making this beautiful soul you call "you." True self loves comes from an appreciation that you were created unique, beautiful, and precious. True self love is a recognition that there is no one else on earth exactly like you, just as there are never two roses exactly the same.
This channel from the Goddess came to us the week before Valentine's Day and to me opened up the door for self-love. Anytime you read this channel, you will find your heart center overflowing with love. The Goddess took us first of all to the New Earth. It's so similar to home, yet has a finer, lighter vibration. The foundation of the energy is based in love. Therefore, the more you allow love within yourself or to flow through you, the more you have to share with others.
There is a tendency to project the source of truth onto another. This often happens in our relationship with the teacher and it acts as a barrier to true awakening. One Thursday evening, at one of my teaching sessions in Corte Madera, Laura raised her hand to speak. She is an earnest young woman who had recently attended one of my five-day residential retreats.
Well, it's the time of year when I usually share a few holiday self-care reminders to support you in taking good care of yourself over the next few weeks so you enter the New Year feeling good about yourself.
Must My children think that something is the matter with them? In
terms of life in the world, beloveds, you will never attain perfection,
so let yourself be. Imperfect, you are perfect. Do you understand Me?
If you would believe in your own goodness and beauty, you would be
so relieved. A great weight would be taken off you, do you agree? Yet
you have held on to the idea ever since you remember that you are not
quite worthy. You may see yourself as a sluggard or one who is almost
invariably mistaken. I wonder what is the comfort in thinking less of
yourself than I do.
You feel a breeze, gently you turn around. Suddenly time stands still. You see a human angel. A wonderful glow is surrounding her, her eyes goes right into you heart. You cannot do anything else than smile, you feel warm. A few seconds you both stand still. Then she walks further with the wind, and you continue your journey. A moment of deep contact has occurred.
Indigo Children are often perfectionists, and they can be very hard
on themselves. They beat themselves up for every perceived
infraction. One of the reasons why they become aggressively defensive
when you scold them is that they're already painfully aware that
they've made a mistake.
is a feeling that we experience in many different ways toward various
people in our lives. Love is the ultimate expression of our divinity.
It is a way of showing tenderness to our children, or passion to our
lover. Love is an emotion that holds the power to heal and strengthen
the physical and emotional body.
