So, what have you been dealing with in recent weeks? What are the issues at the foremost of your mind and heart? What’s kept you awake at night and distracted during the day?
This is a mixed blessing energy. On one hand, it's good for spiritual study and giving your dreams a little energy (if your schedule permits). On the other hand, it makes for major miscommunications between people.
Against the backdrop of what is now two Grand Trines in Water, continuing the opportunity to process emotions that have built up in recent days (see yesterday’s update for more info on that), today the Moon also forms a T Square with Uranus and Pluto.
Today a Grand Trine in Water forms and remains with us for a couple of days. Created by the Moon in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces, it encourages us to embrace the emotional aspects of our being, whilst recognising that they can sweep us away if we let them, distracting us from other things in need of our attention.
Today Jupiter and the Moon join hands in Gemini, expanding our horizons and providing us with a much needed confidence boost. The confidence of Gemini is not about power and durability, but about the ability to shake things off and move on when necessary.
This week we find ourselves between the Solar Eclipse and the Uranus/Pluto square occurring on the 20th/21st May. These are incredibly vibrant energies around us now, and the cosmos is alive with potential and possibility.
Today the Moon and Mercury join forces in Taurus, with Mars trying to play ‘catch up’. All this Taurean energy around at the moment is helping us stay grounded in the midst of this eclipse season when so much is being stirred within us.
So here we are in the wake of the Solar Eclipse, and today we may find ourselves a bit torn about what to make of it all. The heavens speak of a choice facing us, and it’s one we should make wisely, based on our inner wisdom not passing emotion.

How you can work with this particular Eclipse is to be aware of how you feel about your self-worth. Do you love and respect yourself? Are there old values or beliefs that hold you back? Are there gifts you do not express out of fear or insecurity of expressing them?
On May 8-9th, we will have the strongest influx of Taurus energy the entire month with the Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury and Mars all in Taurus. The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is Taurus 20: Wind clouds and haste.

The annular solar eclipse (solar eclipses are always on a new Moon) in Taurus is the second of three consecutive eclipses. So, with this eclipse, we are half-way through this current eclipse season.
A few hours prior to the Solar Eclipse in Taurus, Venus, ruler of Taurus, enters Gemini. Here we see a sensuous and earthy planet in the airy realm of the mind.
Today the Moon enters Taurus at 10:10 a.m. GMT, preparing to meet the Sun for the Solar Eclipse there on 9th/10th May. Not long now! This ingress of the Moon makes a total of five planets in the sign of the bull, bringing a deeply earthy, grounded and creative energy to us.
Today the heavens continue their encouragement to check out those areas of complacency in our lives, where we may have a false sense of security because we’re over-looking something.
This energy will push you toward some serious thinking. You may find yourself asking what your truth and purpose really are or you may be concerned about how to provide for your very basic, essential needs and why you have been constantly limited in that way.
