Doing Less...yet Experiencing More

Instead of skimming the surface with a hundred things on our to do list, and not really stopping to smell the roses along the way, it seems that more of us are feeling an urge to go a bit slower,and enjoy the scenery a lot more. 

We may be feeling to do fewer things in our week, yet at the same time feeling to immerse more fully in those select things which are important to us, to invest more depth, passion, heart and soul in that which does call and inspire us. 

 Instead of running like mice on a wheel, we are asking ourselves: Do I really feel passionate about this? Do I feel nurtured and nourished by it? 

Ironically, the more aware we become of our eternal nature, the more we realise that our time on Earth is precious and we are not here forever. From that perspective, what are you feeling to do less of? And what are you feeling to do more of?

  • being the victim
  • having unhappy thoughts
  • worrying
  • being angry

Feel Like Doing MORE of:

  • Being Happy
  • Synchronicity spotting
  • Crafting
  • Painting
  • Regularly making my Family and Friends aware of just how much I Love, and Appreciate Them
  • Trusting God
  • Radiating fabulous vibrations, globally

It is very interesting to sense what happens in our body when we read through our 'do less of' 'do more of' lists. The less of stuff feels tight, and comes with a pressure type feeling. The more of stuff feels light, and liberating.

I like the serendipity in this. Since the beginning of the year, I have been systematically breaking down everything on my to-do list, in every aspect of my life.....so that my to-do list is a blank canvas.

Rather than doing things because I feel I have to, or because it's the right and sensible thing to do. I aim to do things because I want to. If my heart is not in it, if it feels like a chore or obligation, then it gets crossed off the list, simple as.

And I feel better and freer for it.

For instance, I've decided not to go on a diet. I give myself permission to eat or drink anything I wish. And guess what? I've been eating a lot less as a result! Losing weight now follows naturally.

I don't want to reach the end of my life and wonder why I fretted the small stuff.
