Wednesday Wisdom Seeds: Sending light

We often hear people ask, well if the planet has more light than ever right now, and if this light is supposedly increasing, why all the craziness?

Light amplifies everything. Light shines a torch on everything inside us and outside us. So we can see our sabotaging beliefs more clearly, and we can feel our potential in a greater way. We see the crap and corruption going on around the world with more transparency, and we are more aware of alternatives and solutions.

So this brings up a question. If Light amplifies everything, then what is the best thing to do when thinking of a crisis area or a location that is about to be affected by a storm? A lot of people say 'send light' but if light amplifies then sending 'light' can potentially increase the chaos. Sending light to someone with some major issues, without also sending in a therapist, could heighten their unresolved anger without providing a healthy outlet for the expression of that anger.

This brings up another question - is then light different to consciousness and awareness? Can a person be exposed to 'light', which is energy of a certain vibration, but their level of consciousness determines how that light is received by them, physically and emotionally?

So on this topic of energy regarding people and situations, is sending love then a better option? Or sending a general prayer for best possible outcome? Or do you prefer to just mind your own energy as it were, and know that simply doing that will affect the whole in the best possible way?

What are your thoughts on all this?

Hi Dana,

good questions... I've trained myself to send love and light to situations that catch my attention, with the proviso: in whichever way is for their highest good and all those concerned/involved. Since I have no idea what they are here to learn that's the best I could come up with.

love and blessings,
Angelika

Hi Dana,

Great question, which potentially has many valid and viable answers. “If Light amplifies everything” I pose this question to Solomon, as his name contains Light three times (Holy Trinity), and historically has been viewed as one having wisdom.

Word SOL means "Sun" in Latin, OM or AUM means "Sun" in Hindu Sanskrit, and ON means "Sun" in Egyptian.

1 King 3, Solomon asked God for a discerning heart:
And God said unto him, “Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;”

Now as a creator, what you choose to do with that gift of wisdom (or discernment) could have a wide range in your “creation field”. Maybe (but not limited to) silence, prayer, saying something, or sometimes taking a specific action would be fitting. Maybe we don’t consider ourselves wise based on past mistakes. But, answers come when we ask, and listen. We then choose how to act.

When our own shadow and light are embraced equally, a sense of balance is established.
This inner balance projects outward and affects imbalances in our surroundings.

Events and experiences ultimately seek a state of equilibrium via inclusiveness rather than exclusiveness.

I think light does not push into darkness. Light clears the darkness.
I think awareness is needed and not dangerous. I think light and love are very closely connected, therefore can only generate awareness, therefore safety.
As for being able to manage what light ends ups showing - I think people see only what they are ready to see, and inherently look for safety. Whether they respond to intuition or instinct, whether they choose light or darkness - it only means that is their path to awareness, one that they need to take and are responsible for.

As I also wrote in my comment, I think light does not push into darkness. Light clears the darkness. "Divine Revelation comes from a deep-seated place of Love." - as written by Shanta Gabriel in her lovely post "Visions and Revelations" right here, on spiritlibrary website.

Hi Dana,
Great questions, and I too have caught myself wondering the same. When I find myself wanting to send light, I connect upwards first and ask for permission before doing it. As Angelika has already pointed out, we don't know what those souls are here to learn, so sometimes, whilst we might have the best of intentions or feel that we are right, the soul / situation might not be or is - as we think it is ....... Love and Hugs xx

The only true light that works to integrate the deepest darkness is the light that we send to ourselves. When we send light to others, in first place we might be fragmenting ourselves even further when aspects of ourselves are starving to death, waiting behind us to be reincorporated to our heart.

In second place, to send light to the darkness when darkness is not asking for the light can be a very severe form of disrespect. Darkness wants to be respected and understood, not to be forced back into the light.

Take this as dragon wisdom! It works, when the goal is to truly transform this world by transforming oneself from the core and by first accepting and understanding one's own inner chaos. The true light understands the darkness for it sees it as part of itself in another form, without forcing it to change, but instead, true light listens to the darkness and understands its reason to exist, far from seeing it as a threat. True light never imposes itself into another form. Only then, can darkness turn to light because darkness will feel completely accepted and loved, first for what it is.

Imagine we have a dark room with unsavory characters hiding in it. We don't know what shady things they're doing. We hear something once in a while, but most is hidden from us.

Now we turn on the light. Suddenly they have no place to hide. They are out in the open, and we see all the nasty business they're involved in. This can be scary! But in reality nothing has changed. The only thing that's changed is that we see the truth, because it was there all along.

I don't think light causes chaos. I believe light is truth, knowledge and awareness. I believe when light and darkness are out of balance and this balance is being restored by incoming light, this process causes temporary "turbulence."

Sending light is about lighting the path so they can see better; it's about making more options available. You don't know what those options are or how it might play out. We just share our light like a lantern and wish for the highest good for all beings. Please don't stop sending light out of fear of making a situation worse. Giving the gift of awareness is priceless to those out of balance.

I believe light is the same as consciousness. I understand light to be pure consciousness, or in other words, the All That Is, the Creative Source.

Our "own" light is The Light from the Creative Source.

There is only one source of light. We are all one. Everything is one. At its core everything is made of light. There's no one and nothing that's not the Creative Source, even darkness. Darkness is the illusion of separation from the Creative Source. But true separation is not possible because we are the Creative Source.

Chaos is the result of creating in unawareness (darkness) and then turning on the light and seeing what we've done. Some are ready to change; others want to turn off the light again. Don't focus on the chaos, focus on the light streaming in. Your focus is your reality.

When we send light into dark places we're connecting to the Creative Source inside ourselves, we activate that piece of Source that we are and we're fanning it like a flame. When we do so freely without any commitment to outcomes, we illuminate others' paths beautifully.
