Alan Cohen > Good Enough To Be True

When I began to teach classes on spiritual principles, I devoted some time at the end of each class meeting to pray for students and their loved ones. One woman asked the group to pray for the continued health of her sister, who had had cancer, but the disease was now in remission. At that time I had not heard the term “in remission, so I asked her what it meant.

Alan Cohen > The Dial to Nowhere

Everything you do is either taking you somewhere or it is taking you nowhere. If there is any value in going nowhere, it is to bring you to the realization of the somewhere you would rather be.

Alan Cohen > Tellers of a New Tale

Life is not a series of opportunities to get somewhere. Life is a series of opportunities to be somewhere. Difficulties are not oppressions from a dark source. They are invitations to be a light source.  Bank teller Emily has more change to offer than I can count.

Alan Cohen > How Many Miracles do You Get?

“Miracles and well-being are our natural state, given freely forever. Only the human mind lays limits over the good available to us. It is not God’s grace we need to beg for. It is our own. And we don’t need to beg. We just need to claim it.”

Alan Cohen > The Word and the Womb

How much should you tell other people about what is really important to you? Should you broadcast your dreams to everyone in hopes that others will honor your intentions and support you? Or would you be wiser to keep your visions to yourself and avoid debilitating criticism?

I have been a vegetarian for many years for all kinds of reasons: health, morality, energy, ecology, and on and on. I don’t think everyone should be a vegetarian, and I have never proselytized. I think everyone should follow their own body’s guidance toward food that works for them. I just know what works for me.

Alan Cohen > Somebody to Love

I had a nasty neighbor who regularly picked fights over all kinds of issues. People drove too fast past her rural home; her neighbors partied too loud; vandals were supposedly stealing from her water line; trees encroached on her property line; and on and on.

Alan Cohen > Mechanics and Miracles

I have long been fascinated by the phenomenon of crop circles. In 1994 I made a pilgrimage to England to study the mysterious formations, appearing consistently now for over 20 years. While the glyphs have been the subject of controversy and some have been fabricated by hoaxers, an intelligent study of them points sharply toward the expression of interdimensional intelligence.

Alan Cohen > The Altar

The beginning of a new year offers a poignant opportunity to set the priorities that will carry us through the year. We succeed or fail based on what we hold dear. Choose meaningless priorities, and you become the heir to pain. Live from what you value, and your life becomes a celebration of purpose.

Alan Cohen > Who Sent the Ants?

Synchronicity is always working on our behalf, but we are only occasionally aware of it. We cannot plan synchronicities; we just need to get clear on our intention and then be open to signs and guidance.
