Cat RunningElk > She’s Right Behind You – The Deer Blessing

It was a Sunday afternoon and I needed some quiet time in nature.  The best and closest place I could find was a school playground. I gave in to the shade of a tree, sat down and closed my eyes. Only a block away traffic roared and all around me people were busy with Sunday yard work.

Cat RunningElk > A Community of Crows

Community of Crows came to visit me and my family.  Thousands upon thousands flew by my window. It was like the flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz – an endless stream of black creatures.

Cat RunningElk > The Divine Feminine – No Woman Left Behind

Back in 2008 the Grandmothers came to me and asked me to teach the Divine Feminine. These powerful maternal ancestor spirits were asking me to teach something I thought I knew nothing about.

Cat RunningElk > A Dozen Or More Ducks…All In A Row

Today I went outside to see what was happening with the ducks here at our neighborhood pond. Looking for a sign of what is really going on in my life behind the scenes, I came around the corner anxious to see what the ducks were up to today.

“I am here to heal you.” he said from somewhere in the dark. I thought I was doing fine.  I thought I was going to have to heal him.

“Take a sloppy step forward,” she told me, “You want to do everything perfectly and you are waiting until you know the next step will be perfect.” I was flabbergasted as Rhonda Britten gave me some of the best advice ever.  Words I will never forget flowed through her that day many years ago.

Cat RunningElk > Dive In – The Water’s Fine

I was standing in waist deep, crystal clear, warm water and I was afraid to dive in. I wanted to experience swimming in the warm, beautiful Gulf waters.  But I was afraid.

We Took The Long Way Home...Which wasn’t my intention at all. Grace, Amber, two cats and me, Cat, were headed back to Florida.  Just thinking about twenty hours of driving made me tired.  Anxious to get the drive over with I left Kansas City with my foot heavy on the gas pedal.  I wanted to do it in one day.

Cat RunningElk > 250 Pounds of Purr

I was more than a little bit intimidated. I was feeling fear the closer we got to one another.  Yet I wanted to know him, and I wanted to get close. He was gorgeous and proud, sleek and strong.  He weighed 250 pounds.

Cat RunningElk > Embracing the Dark – Finding the Light

It is Winter Solstice and while we know the days will begin getting longer, that the sun is returning…we also know that it is a slow process.  It is the first day of winter and so we must make peace with the dark cold days of the season.
