Fine tuning our awareness is the key at this time of great awakening. The greater the awareness and understanding we gain about who we are and who we are not, the more we move into our authentic power. Our role in the unfolding Divine plan that we have all agreed to participate in, is that of fully embracing every aspect of who we are.
Our human experience is one full of extraordinary opportunities, both on a personal and collective level. What lies before us in the unfolding of each present moment is the ultimate gift of understanding of who we are from the deepest recesses of our being and our purpose for being here at this time.
Setbacks in life are always a call to awakening from your soul. Growth is stimulated when the status quo of your reality is shaken at its foundation. Awakened souls know they have before them an opportunity to review and learn.
There is no question we are now in unprecedented times! The changes and breaking down of the old structures in our lives that no longer serve us - both at a global and personal level - have escalated to intense proportions. Many are becoming “battle weary” as they try to hang on to what is thought to be their livelihood and protect all that they have worked for and built in their lives. And yet, no matter what is done to try and preserve the status quo, it’s a battle that can’t be won.
There is no doubt that the collective consciousness has had a major shift that
has been felt in most nations of the world. While this time in our history has
finally come to pass and much sooner than some may have thought, the
inauguration of President Obama was a manifestation of the higher values and
ideals many of us around the planet have been embracing in our own lives.
Freedom is what we all seek in our lives, no matter how we each define it. There is no question that it is a universal desire regardless of our culture, religion, beliefs, status, wealth, diversity and uniqueness.
As things become more challenging and chaotic, I find I am becoming
increasingly infatuated with this crazy journey we are all on together.
We are all becoming aware that we often talk about time, or the
perceived “lack of time”, and how life seems to be speeding up and
changing at a very rapid rate.
Many have the notion that the ego is bad, or we need to push the ego away to become more spiritual. For all of the ego bashing that goes on out there, that is the ego sitting in judgement of itself in order to distract you from what is true.
Everywhere I turn people seem to be struggling to make sense of what they are feeling and the extreme challenges they are faced with in their lives. We appear to be so inundated with just doing the best we can to survive that we have lost sight of what is important to us and our most cherished values and desires. In a strange way, life appears to be interfering with how we think it should be, and so we fight against it. Ironic, really.
In my last article titled, Where Are We Going?,
I alluded to the challenging times ahead as we birth into a New World.
So what does this really mean and how do we navigate through rough
waters?
