That you are on Earth is enough of a reason to be here. Being present, do not preoccupy yourself with ends nor ways to the means. If you turn the wheel of a mill, turn it for the blessing of turning it. If you drive a cab, drive it in service to those who presently ride with you. If you are a designer, design for the love of designing.
If you are a teacher, don’t do it for a paycheck. Be paid, but teach for the love of knowledge and for the love of the souls before you. Teach for the love of it.
If you are a salesman, sell your heart, not merely goods.
If you are in business, gain profit and give worth.
You do not need to be a Holy Man, as it is interpreted in the world. You don’t need to be a saint. You don’t need to be self-serving either. You are meant to be world-serving, God-serving. If you truly want to look out for #1, then look out for My interests. My interest is love. Let it be yours.
Anger is ego’s henchman. Whenever you are angry, know that ego is at play. Anger is a by-product of ego. Whether your anger is justified or not, anger itself is a representative of ego. Anger doesn’t let you think. Anger not only surmounts the heart, it also surmounts the mind. Anger takes over, and you see red. Red is the color of anger. Red-hot is anger’s temperature.
Be a friend first. There is no need to wait for others to extend their hands to you first. When you greet another, you are greeting yourself. By all means, greet yourself. No ands, ifs, and or buts. For easy understanding, you have made yourself into an I and so have many others, and I give a lesson in grammar that you and I are a We. We like to be We. You like to be We. You like to be We with Me, and you like to be We with others.
You question everything. Why do you question? What difference does all your questioning make? Why do you have to know all that you think you have to know? When you find out, then there is another question that gets in line. You go around in circles.
Let love be first. Let love be your environment. Let love be your mainstay. Nothing else is. Harbor love, and your ship will sail, and your ship will come in. Nevertheless, you do not love with a reason in mind. Of course, it is unreasonable not to love. To love is fundamental. Be a fundamentalist of love.
It is your birthright to enjoy this vast love, the receiving and the giving of it, one not dependent upon the other. There is no measuring or balancing the scales of love. There are no prerequisites for love.
