I tell you to love, and yet We cannot define love. Love is so vast, beloveds, it defies description. Let Us talk a little about love, what it is and what it is not, and how it appears in different lights. It is natural to love. It is natural for a baby to love. He doesn't know the word, and he already loves. It is natural for the mother to love her baby. It is unnatural not to love.
Will you think of Me today with all your heart? Will you let this be a God day? Will you lean towards Me today? Will you put your head on My shoulder? Will you keep Me in your vision? Wherever you are and whatever you do, may I be the banner you wave?
Let go of conditions as best you can. Let go of old stories you tell yourself. You tend to make rules where there are no rules. You make certain conditions necessary. You tie together cause and effect as if they were hitched, as if cause and effect were a pair of yoked oxen pulling a cart, as if one thing must follow another as if by law. There is no rule, and, when you make up a rule, it does not necessarily follow.
You complain about the contrast in life, yet the contrast, at present, is also what gives you joy. If you were never hungry, even the best meal would not heighten your heart nor appetite. If you were never hot, how would you know what it is to be cool? You have heard this argument.
You have believed in eternal contracts. There is something to that.
You made promises to yourself, yet, here it is, these contracts do not
have to be kept.
It is like this: You play a song on the jukebox. What? Is there
something the matter when you choose to play a different song? You have
the free will to play any song you like. Consider life the song you
Harmony is what is wanted. Do not think harmony always means agreement. If harmony meant agreement, you would wait a very long time for harmony. Harmony leaps over disagreement like over a tall building. Is it not true that you don't always agree with yourself? Why, beloveds, disagreement -- that's nothing.
Beloved, everything in the world is relative. This is how the world is. One thing exists contrary to something else. One thing is opposed to one thing or another, and also, dependent upon another for its very own existence. Cold and hot are respective of one another.
