While it is hard for your thinking mind to conceive, it is such an extraordinary time to be alive! Keep telling yourself this through the thicks and thins of everyday life when it seems that it is otherwise. Do not attach to the great ills of society. Yes, they are the reality for some and yes what you hear on the news is tragic, but has this been your experience today?

As we continue to awaken from our slumber and begin to realize there is so much more to who we are and why we are here, the one question that rises to the forefront of our minds is: what is my true purpose in this world? This is the big one for most seekers…searching for meaning to our existence and our role on this planet, often generating unrest, stress and anxiety in the process.
This time of year dredges up much pain and sadness held in the recesses of our hearts. It is a profound opportunity to heal and transform those bruises into a lightened, expanded heart. Compassion is a fire that heals your own and another’s heart. Remember it is our minds that continue to batter our hearts by recurring thoughts that become a form of self-flagellation. Why do we hurt ourselves so?
Well, here we are in 2012. Is there anything that has not already been said that can assist you in preparation for this time? Honestly, there is not. We can only serve to summarize to help you know in every moment how to be - for as you know, it is not about doing, but about being.
What is it that you yearn for? It is inside of you. What is it that stirs you and burns you and stews you? It is inside of you. This is the greatest importance for you to understand at this time, for you continue and continue and continue to seek outside of yourself for that which you desire. This is the trap that has kept you limited for eons and this is what has to change. This is what is changing and you can choose to be part of the solution in this realization.
Can you feel the buzz, the hum, the charge of the new energies? The challenge is that it feels way more like an electrocution than the trickle of serene waters! But no need to white-knuckle it as you have been feeling. It’s okay – breathe all the way in. It is a conscious effort now to not experience resistance in your body to these powerful influxes of light, a bit like trying to be porous in a gale. It hurts. So be like the water that flows around the rock in the river – do not resist – just flow around to find the path of least resistance.
Every day is a new day. The more we release ourselves from the tethers of the past and the less we fear the future (because we are detached from the outward appearance and dramatic woes of the crazy world), the more we are able to be fully present now. What the heck else do we have left to do? Much more, as it is only the beginning. It isn’t back there and it isn’t up there, nor it is out there – it is in here. And so we begin again on this new day.
How can we best prepare for what is to come? As it has always been said, the best preparation for the future takes place now. A refinement to that is to focus on the fullness of what it means to be in the now: the ever present current of the now moment. Not the past and not the future and not outside your body, but here. Now. This sounds like a simple concept, but it is the work of the Master who achieves the true meaning of this Presence.
