Life as a human being is an insatiable experience despite it being an emotional wild ride. To say the least, it is profound, mysterious, exhilarating and maddening all at once! Being alive is addicting, we want more despite the ups and downs.
Everything we own is technically rented, leased or borrowed. When people exit the planet, all of their possessions are given to someone else or destroyed. Those items suddenly matter to someone else, and can quite often lead to squabbles over ownership of “stuff” that previously belonged to the now deceased.
From time to time you may have experienced a sudden shock or feeling as if segments of time are missing or awakening to a sudden realization of the disappearance of past memories. This experience can be quite jarring at first. What we do not realize is that we have traveled to a reality that may have some extreme differences to the reality we may have left behind.
As we face challenges in our private realities, on our private stage, we are caught in the performance, the drama and intrigue of the experience. The actor now believes that he or she is the character, the role being played in the game . This is the dilemma that we all face. The characters we play are created from archetypes written into the script of this collective version of reality—we simply add uniqueness to these characters based on the stories we select to play out as our experience.
Do we understand what it is that we cling to in clinging to our ancestors? We are in love with the idea of our ancestral past and with that we cling to an idea about a lineage of people who validate our own present existence. There is a comfort felt in being cradled in our history regardless of the extremes expressed by the past. We honor those who have come before us. We honor their journey, their struggles and their triumphs. We believe in our ancestors and with that we hold tightly to the security of those who have come before us.
Quite often we face incredible complexity and frustration as we aim to configure the direction of our lives. We ultimately crave personal and spiritual expansion; deep discovery and a sense of freedom. At times we experience hints of greatness, magic and a life without limits!
Your expansive self took on the project of experiencing human life. Nobody really thinks of it this way, because we are conditioned to have very narrow interpretations about a great many things in our life.
