Question: I really enjoy good food and I think that eating is a joy. I also enjoy listening to cultural music, designing and wearing colorful clothing, and painting provocative art. I have heard that in the near future we will feed ourselves through the solar waves of our local sun, lose our hair, and even wear the same garment. I can see how this might simplify things considerably, but why would our evolution require us to abandon customs that are unique to Earth? Isn't the earth exceptionally precious as it is, diversity and all?
Dear Readers, It feels to most of us that earth changes are increasing in both frequency and magnitude, and yet Gaia says that they are not. She tells us that our interest in 2012 related change has made it seem that way, and that our newer technologies allow many more of us to share similar thoughts at similar times. Gaia goes on to say that this will begin to work in our favor as soon as we align with the kinds of things we want to change instead of the change we think is affecting our kind...

I discovered channeling at a very young age. It opened up a new world for me, one that merged wisdom with compassion, and love with understanding. I quickly learned that invisible guides and teachers were just as real as ones that I could see. I knew that I could touch and be touched profoundly by a word as easily as by the wind, as it danced and imitated Spirit for my education and amusement. I did not imagine all those years ago that my future would include teaching others how to channel, yet today it is one of my most favorite things to do.
The surface of the earth bears certain scars, witness to events of
major historic perspective. Beautiful canyons, rivers and lakes erase,
or least hide, evidence of massive and unexpected devastation.
Likewise, deserts lie naked and exposed, unclothed and unable to mask
the corruption that changed verdant green resources into dry sand.
History has also left scars behind where wars have changed the course
of events, and monuments now stand in place of men.
Solstice means "sun stands still" and appropriately describes how the winter (and summer) solstice sun appears to hang on the day's horizon, as if something has halted its progress across the heavens. For three days it remains virtually unchanged until finally its movement is visible. It is reborn and its journey begins anew.
Winter Solstice is the birth of the new solar year and is symbolized by the dark, or midnight sun. The midnight solstice aligns the world of humanity with the world of the eternal, joining both in a sacred union that repeats each year at the same time.
Self-discovery is a journey whose only measure is the amount of times one meets oneself along the way. It is an adventure whose purpose is the journey itself. If one fears to venture forward or inward the trail becomes steeper and the request more insistent. Failure to answer such a call leads to the wilderness within rather than the wonders of the outer world. Ignorance of Spirit's need and desire to journey can lead to the illness of the body and partial or complete corruption of the sensitivities.
The winter solstice has risen and the day is new. The physical sun has returned to reunite us with the spiritual sun within and to remind us that we are the light of the world. The sun is beginning to move away from its maximum declination and can be seen as it continues along its journey. And now it is time for us to do the same.
Mythology and folklore is humanity "attempting to explain its world to itself," triggering the unconscious to "remember its own way to create, to unravel the old so that it can then weave the new and the next into this particular life."
In your own unique way, as guided by the resonant quality of your soul and the desire of the personality that calls you by name, you have crossed another threshold and found yourself in a new year. You approach an invisible marker in time - one that may as well be chiseled in stone as your imaginations have built a monument to it -- this year has earned a permanent entry in the logbook of your life.
