One of my great joys is discovering—and rediscovering—the work of the wisdom teachers of the past. I have recently been inspired to go back and read again the work of Thomas Troward, who lived in India and Great Britain from 1847 to 1916.
While walking down a crowded street in London many years ago, I noticed a window display devoted to the English poet William Blake. There was a quotation on a sign in the window that I read over and over. The words seemed to touch my soul, and I was prompted by an internal calling to write those words on the back of an envelope.
