Accepting Too Soon

We have spoken often of the spiritual guidance toward release and acceptance, of doing all you can and then releasing yourself so that you are not consumed with unproductive worry.  Today, ask yourself this:  have I truly done all I can?  Before you release and accept, ask once again if there is any way to affect the outcome.  There is a danger in assuming that you are done, simply because you have done what most people would do.

If you are truly concerned about the outcome of something, consider taking your involvement further.  Instead of a sigh and “oh well” as you hand over control, consider going one more step, breaking the rules or at least the established conventions.  Consider personal involvement, a face-to-face meeting in which you express your concerns or offer your assistance.  Consider appealing on a human level in something that is normally distant and institutional.

The spiritual law of release and acceptance does not bar you from original and creative action, especially action that stems from your heart.

The world has become difficult and complex and often you think that there is nothing you can do.  But behind every public office, every corporation, there is a human being.  And that human has a heart as well as a mind and an official job.  Find a way to reach that heart and you may well affect the outcome of the issue that you care deeply about.

Here is a little prayer for today

I am actively involved in my own life.  I apply my creative energies to the events of my life and allow myself to take action that only I might take.  I allow myself to reach out into this world and connect on a heart level with others, reaching them in new and original ways, letting my intuition and my love build a bridge that carries us across to the middle to meet as new friends.

I have great power.  I open myself to the energy that is there for me and allow it to clear my mind, settle my center and fill my heart with love.  I use my mind as a creative tool to meld the intuitive insight of my center with the love of my heart.

I am original and creative.  I am power made manifest through love.  I am.
