Messages about criticism

The other day I had a moment.  As I walked down the hallway in our home, I saw my husband, Michael, standing in the kitchen eating a container of yogurt.

I haven’t watched much TV in the past two years and I have noticed a trend towards criticising other people’s efforts as a form of entertainment. It’s likely always been like this, I just happen to be more aware of it.

Hello Bright Star friends! I hope this finds you well. I recently received a powerful teaching in my own life and I thought to share it with you. Since I have become more in the public eye with the two group pages that I have on Facebook, I have also gotten more criticism and judgment from the outside world. For some reason many so-called “spiritual” people feel a need to tell me exactly what they perceive that I am doing incorrectly which in many cases has caused me to feel defeated, hurt and irritated.

When you are angry, you are trying to control. Someone didn't do what you thought they should, and now you take affront. Who are you to take affront? Who are you to supervise your brother? Over whom exactly do you think you rule? Rule yourself, beloved.
