Chiron is widely known to correspond with the notion of the Wounded Healer. In its archetypal energy we meet that part of us which seems forever in pain, and yet which simultaneously enables us to reach out to others in their suffering.
In the past 24 hours the flux of high-energy electrons swarming around Earth has increased more than tenfold. The source of this "electron storm" is a 600 km/s stream of solar wind buffeting Earth's magnetic field.
During the month of May 2013 there are a number of cosmic happenings that will really amplify the energy; there are eclipses, solar flares, the moon powerful energy, Wesak Festival and more. All of this happening causes us to feel things more profoundly or brings to our awareness that which we can no longer ignore!
How you can work with this particular Eclipse is to be aware of how you feel about your self-worth. Do you love and respect yourself? Are there old values or beliefs that hold you back? Are there gifts you do not express out of fear or insecurity of expressing them?
Even though the theme this week is physical adjustment, the energies will impact you all a bit differently. Perhaps you remember that the most common transition is to explore your spiritual being, then your emotional and finally your physical segments.
If you’ve read some of my other blogs you’ll be familiar with the Mirror Neuron System (MNS). If this is your first visit, then Welcome! Mirror neurons do what they say on the tin, so to speak. They are brain cells (neurons) that are involved in mirroring what you perceive. So if you’re watching me flex my fingers, your brain thinks you’re flexing your fingers. These cells mirror what you see me doing so in some ways your brain doesn’t distinguish between whether you’re watching someone doing something or doing it yourself.
In my talks I quite often explain how we catch emotion from people. It’s facilitated by an interconnected network of brain cells known as the mirror neuron system. If you’re with someone who is happy, your brain actually mirrors the activity of their smile muscles signaling your muscles to do the same.
Given that stress is linked with illness, it might be no real surprise to learn that a positive outlook can have health-giving effects. At the very least, positivity spares us some stress but it seems to also have immune-boosting effects, as you can see below.
