July's Cancerian new Moon occurs on July 8. Although times have been intense for longer than I can remember, this lunation feels like a bit more of a walk in the park. Having said that, the lead up to it, the days just before it, may be a bit testing with the Sun opposing Pluto and then the Moon opposing Pluto in the hours before the new Moon.
The edge of the morning is a special and potent time of day. As the dawn light gently caresses the whispering trees and kisses the earth with tender warmth, a powerful silence emerges full of sound, energy and life.
For the past many weeks we have been speaking here about The Holy Experience. I want to invite you to avoid developing preconceived notions about what that Experience is all about, or what it is supposed to “look like.”
As the cycle of life continues to twist and turn, many of us have become so wrapped up in keeping on keeping on that we forget to pause every so often to remember that we are vibrant beings living on a vibrant, spinning planet.

Now is the perfect time to look at your life and say to yourselves,"What must die within me to give birth to the life I want to live?" Do you need to give up thoughts of lack in order to resurrect abundance?
I couldn’t see more than ten feet in front of me. The snow was coming down in large beautiful flakes. My sight was becoming more and more limited with each mile and I couldn’t feel the road beneath us.
We continue this week in our extraordinary exposition on how to move into what I have been calling The Holy Experience. Last week we said here that meditators are often told that a good way to begin their practice is to listen to the sound of their own breath.
Life is a great force. Wherever you may be, whatever you may be going through, whether your body flourishes on Earth right now or whether you dropped your body a thousand years ago, life goes on, and you go on in it. There is no cease to this force called life. Oh, yes, with or without body, you live, and you are My beloved.
It’s a really big question. Is life governed by fate or do we make it up as we go along? The overall subject I explored in this book is one that has profoundly shaped my life and molded how I think about things. I do believe that some events in life are meant to be. Or, let me broaden that…. I believe that certain events in life have a high probability of happening.
Wandering through life looking for its meaning can be a heart-rending task. You begin life looking to your parents for meaning, then to your teachers and friends until, one day, you’re grown-up, educated, and still clueless. You stand there, thinking that there has to be a reason why you’re here on this earth because you are constantly haunted from within by a sense of knowing that a reason really does exist.
Yesterday Michael and I attended the memorial service of a good friend's dad who died suddenly while helping a neighbor with a project at his home. The service was moving and sad and inspiring all at the same time. Of course his family and his loved ones are reeling from their unexpected loss. There's nothing more painful than losing someone you love.
