Messages about Neale Donald Walsch

David R. Hamilton PhD

I was looking through my bookshelves recently and it got me thinking about the books that have profoundly impacted my life. There have been 5 to be precise. I thought I might share them with you.

Neale Donald Walsch

I said here last week that there are two ways to give something meaning: (1) we can pull the meaning from our Past, or (2) we can choose the meaning in our Present, as Highly Evolved Beings would do. Let's pick up our narrative from there... Lower animals do not create meaning, they simply remember it. A deer hears a twig snap in the forest and "decides" that it means danger. The deer doesn't wait around to see if he's right or not. The deer scampers. Because the deer remembers.

As I said here last week, there are many areas of life, many situations, in which you may choose to have the Holy Experience. What it takes to experience the fact one is already a Master is to make a commitment to having the Holy Experience every day. Indeed, all day every day, if it is possible. And it is. Beginning this week we will look into the various areas or aspects of our lives to see, one area at a time, how one may move into the Holy Experience, at will

Neale Donald Walsch

There are many areas of life, many situations, in which you may choose to have the Holy Experience. Now that may sound like a strange thing to say, so let's take a look at it. At first, it may seem strange to speak of the Holy Experience as something that you "choose to have." Most people think of things that are holy as things that are rare. Or at the very least, not controllable in the first person. That is, they do not see themselves as being at cause in the matter.

Neale Donald Walsch

What is it like to be in the Holy Experience? In such an experience one is defenseless. There is no need to defend because the experience of attack is not possible, nor is the experience of damage. There is only what is happening, what is now going on, but it is labeled neither attack nor damage by The One, hence, there is no need for defense, judgment, or forgiveness.

Neale Donald Walsch

As we explore ever more deeply each week what I have described as The Holy Experience, we have said that the easiest way to engage the experience is to share it with others. Yet how to share this experience? First, we must decide what The Holy Experience is. For me, it is the experience of Oneness. It is the experience of Oneness with God and Oneness with each other.

Neale Donald Walsch

We are embarked in this space on a year-long exploration of The Holy Experience. I hope and trust that you are enjoying it as much as I am.
The Holy Experience is just like any other form of wealth. You cannot fully experience it until you share it with others. What good does it do you to have inherited a million dollars if you never spend so much as a nickel of it?

Neale Donald Walsch

An important step in creating the Holy Experience is sharing it with others, so that they may have it. This is a bold step. It takes spiritual courage. You must be willing to be seen as someone whose head is above the crowd. For not many people in the crowd called humanity are aware of having the Holy Experience.

Neale Donald Walsch

As you know if you are a regular reader of The Weekly Bulletin, we have been having on ongoing discussion in this space for several months now about what I call The Holy Experience. I would like to share with you today a big secret around all of this... Declaring that you are having The Holy Experience right now requires that you refuse to step into Tomorrow before Tomorrow comes.

Neale Donald Walsch

We spoke here last week about Awareness as a step on the road to The Holy Experience. There are just a few more words I want to say on that subject before I move to this week's exploration... Awareness is a very, very important aspect of Life. I think it's an important quality to nurture and to grow. If we can grow in Awareness, I think that we grow in one of the most vital ways.

Neale Donald Walsch

Difficult as it may be for most of us to believe, we are already at the end of Week 1 of the New Year. Just 51 weeks left and we'll be right back where we were last week--at the end of another cycle. Later in this Bulletin I will offer my reflection on what I was thinking last Saturday night, New Year's Eve, as the clock struck 12, and an idea that came to me on Sunday morning as I crawled out of bed and into the New Year for good.

Neale Donald Walsch

And so here we are, in the final days of another year. It is difficult to imagine that one more annual Cycle has gone by...and yet it has. And how has it been for you? Have you experienced the level of spiritual growth in the past 12 months that you had hoped for? Have you had, yet, the Holy Experience? As you know if you are regular reader here, we have been exploring what CWG calls The Holy Experience in this space for several months now.

Neale Donald Walsch

As you know if you are a regular reader, we have been discussing here the steps toward The Holy Experience. And The Holy Experience is not something that befalls us, it is something that we create. So I would like to talk about that now. Yet I will also not ignore the fact that this is, of course, the weekend of Christmas. So there will be more about that later in this week's Bulletin... The Holy Experience is about exactly what this season is about, of course. It is about love and caring and knowing ourselves as Divine.

Neale Donald Walsch

Later in this Weekly Bulletin I offer my answer to what this Christmas season is all about. I hope you will have a chance to read it. Right now, as you know if you are a regular reader, we have been discussing here the steps toward The Holy Experience. And we concluded our exploration last week with an intriguing question: How can a thing that is inherently limited be virtually unlimited?

Neale Donald Walsch

As you know if you are a regular reader, we have been discussing here the steps toward The Holy Experience. The third step in creating the Holy Experience is knowing that you are having it.  In truth, one does not create the Holy Experience at all (nor, for that matter, does one create anything). One simply expands one's perspective, allowing one to notice that the experience is already occurring and is just waiting for us to realize it.
