You live in a one room schoolhouse there upon your earth. There are spiritual graduates, and spiritual kindergärtners. There are star students, and there are those who skip class entirely. There are kind students and bullies. You are all in school together. You are all family.
A prayer is not a petition to God for mercy, blessings, and grace, as you are taught by religion. A prayer is an affirmation of your divine connection and a declaration of the creative power that you already have.

Don't sabotage your dreams by doubting, becoming impatient, and losing faith. If you grew a garden, you would plant the seeds, water them faithfully, weed them, and trust in their ultimate ripening. You would not dig them up in frustration!
Sometimes it is so difficult to know what to do when faced with situations that seem beyond our comprehension. That is when prayer has such wide-spread capability. It gives us something positive to do for every situation.

The other day I flew to Newark, New Jersey, to give a benefit lecture on behalf of the Trenton Soup Kitchen. I have been involved with the TSK for five years now and I consider the work this charity does to be absolutely magnificent. Anyway, I arrived midday and was met by a lovely, middle-aged driver. Within minutes we were in his immaculate car heading to our destination, which, according to his GPS, was an hour away....
What a month it has been. I think everyone has been challenged. In addition all our stuff is coming up to be dealt with. Changes that are overdue are confronting us. We are meeting people or situations from our past and memories are flooding to the surface.
