Maybe I don't love you - just the way you are

"Maybe I don't love you just the way you are", Sonia raises questions about the possibility of loving someone just the way they are. Do we? or is this just a romantic notion. Sonia points out our need to change others, and what would it mean to love someone just the way they are. Sonia refers to Billy Joel's song "I love you just the way you are" when the song says "don't go changing to try and please me, you never let me down before" she discusses what does it mean to be let down and our expectations of others.
